Creating… a Pleather Pet Bed

I have very specific conditions for my Pet’s bed. It’s more of a mat… not too fluffy. I want it durable with a soft side and a textured side. And, of course, I will be making it myself.

Originally, I was debating a style similar to a doubled fleece no-sew blanket – but the edging options just don’t fit: no matter if I tie, fringe, or faux-braid.

I still have to rummage through my fabric pile, but I started some rough sketches and techniques below.
