Letterpress Lust & Tin Toy Printing Presses

I’m always on the look out for printing paraphernalia, turn out Grandpa was my good luck charm. I finally found a printer’s box at reasonable price!

Here are a few of the treasure’s I saw. Can you guess which ones I brought home?

Block - Map

A custom printer’s block – A map of Allegan County, MI.

Block tree

Another custom block – Fee $150.00 to insure live foal.

Not sure what this custom printer’s block says. Perhaps, cigar wrappers?

Wooden draws from a printer’s font set. Each drawer contained letters, numbers and punctuation for one SIZE of a specific typeface.

Signature blocks

Custom signature blocks, some backed on lead and some on wood.

Superior Press

Toy Press

Superior toy printing press! This is the smallest model, the Cub.
