Patching… Jean Hearts

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I love sales, deals, thrift stores, etc. The thrill of scoring an awesome find for a tiny bit of cash is pretty addictive to me.

Recently, I picked up a used pair of Old Navy Sweetheart jeans. Perfect for rolling the cuffs capri style. The first day I wore them out my thunder thighs (I say that lovingly) ripped through!

My solution: iron on patch. And what better shape than a heart for the sweetheart cut!?

Hole & Heart.

Hole & Heart.

Forgive the view, but there is the inner thigh patch. I think it blends in pretty well!

I ended up having to sew the edges down after a test run with the patch. The friction between my thighs was peeling it up!

Sewn twice around. Once with a tight straight stitch, and again with a zig zag to catch the edges.

Finished and ready to wear, again!
