Faking… depth of field with photoshop

Some things are private, like the content of the hand inked letter below. But the creativity of the design is something I would love to share with you!

In an effort to disguise the more mushy parts of my letter, I did a quick Google search and came up with this tutorial from Go Media Zine. Faking depth of field is as easy as setting up a separate channel with a gradient of your blur and applying it to the lens blurr effect! *wink*

Now I can proudly show you my hand lettered typography!

Initially ruled with pencil and sketched into place. Finished with an assortment of rollerball ink pens. Pencil erased.
