Sewing… a vintage apron – the cutting!

My favorite apron is taking a beating, seams ripping and edges fraying. And since I still have the pattern, it’s time to make a new one!

At first I thought I would go rockabilly but I remembered an old sugar bag I had been saving… add to that a very old ripped pillow case and I’m on my way to making my very own “vintage” apron!

I even cleared off my sewing desk!

It took me over an hour to clear off this space!

Pretty ripped pillow case, came from my husband’s mother’s house…

Creative cutting around rips. Looks like I am only going to need new fabric for the ties!

All the cutting is done… now on to the sewing. Stay tuned for part II.
